grindhouse psychological thriller that will make you question your
trust in mankind. Written, directed and starring Michael Biehn (The

My client Rebecca Wisocky will be seen in the upcoming Lifetime Series Devious Maids.
After getting the shaft from ABC, Marc Cherry's "Devious Maids" has officially been picked up by Lifetime!
"We are glad the show has found a home," star Ana Ortiz told The Huffington Post exclusively via email this afternoon. "It is going to be such a thrill to work alongside these Devious Divas," she added.
Ortiz says she's not the only one who's excited about the Lifetime
pick-up--Marc Cherry is, too. "Marc seems excited about the partnership
with Lifetime. I think he has a lot of wickedness up his creative
sleeve...so fun!" she wrote.
Based on a Mexican telenovela format, “Devious Maids”
follows four maids who work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills,
but have ambitions and dreams of their own. The show stars Ortiz (“Ugly
Betty”), Dania Ramirez (“Heroes”), Roselyn Sanchez (“Without A Trace”) Judy Reyes (“Scrubs”) and Rebecca Wisocky, and is co-executive produced by Mark Cherry
and Eva Longoria.
Ortiz, who is best known for her endearing and memorable portrayal of
Hilda Suarez on ABC's hit comedy "Ugly Betty," knows what it's like to
work on a show that feels like a tight-knit family. In her email today,
the half-Puerto Rican actress said that's exactly what "Devious
Maids"--which stars four Latina lead actresses-- is like. "The thing I
am most looking forward to," she said, "is playing with this incredible
So, how does she like her new network? "It truly is an opportunity of a Lifetime...no pun intended," she joked.
Congratulations to Ana and the other Latinas of "Devious Maids!"
PopConLA: the Popular Culture Convention,
which will be held July 5th through 8th at the LA Convention Center
around the 7th annual International Television Festival (ITVfest). There
will be scheduled screenings, panels, fashion shows, celebrity
signings, art show, live bands, comedians, etc. The festival brings in
thousands of people from around the world on its own, so by adding the
elements of PopCon we'll have a great turnout. We're going to be doing a
screening of Superman II with Q&A by Margot Kidder, Jack
O'Halloran, Valerie Perrine and possibly even Sarah Douglas. They
haven't been together for 30 years. We have some really exciting things
lined up. We will also be having a screening of Blade Runner followed by
Q&A with Sean Young, James Hong and Joanna Cassidy. Billy Dee
Williams of Star Wars fame will also be signing autographs. The Tim
Russ (Star Trek: Voyager) Band will be playing on Friday, July 6th at
8pm during PopCon as well as Bruce Boxlietner and Cindy Morgan from Tron
and Bai Ling of the Crow fame.
There are two key changes, that are important this year:
·ITVfest 2012 will be held in Downtown LA, at the LA Convention Center.
·A new event will be joining, and hosted by ITVfest, to run at the same time: Pop Con LA, Popular Culture Convention.
·Also, we are pleased to add a NEW submissions category: Spec Commercials.
When & Where?
Dates are: July 5-8, 2012.

Tell Me Briefly About ITVfest: International Television Festival
is the premiere festival in the world for independently produced TV
pilots, WebContent and Digital Features, in both live-action and
In 2012, ITVfest will run concurrently with the 1st Annual 'Pop Con LA', the Popular Culture Convention.
Always at the forefront of technology and entertainment
trends, ITVfest prides itself on being for and about the creators of
quality Content. ITVfest gives finalists unprecedented access to network
with industry professionals, and is the place to jumpstart a career in
both television and new media.
What is Pop Con?
Pop Con LA, the Popular Culture
Convention, is about ‘All Things Pop Culture’: Art, Design, Fashion,
Music, Xtreme Sports, and of course, Movies & TV.
Pop Con will have an Exhibit
floor area, as well as many fun activities going on, including some
Special Events that will be scheduled as we get closer.
Also, another key goal of Pop
Con, is to bring in added visibility, to the Content creators and
Official Selections screenings, that will be going on for ITVfest.
Bringing in a more ‘consumer’ audience to our ITVfest selected works, we
think only adds greater value to those who submit their projects to
ITVfest in 2012!

expect to offer them as of now!
When Will We Know About Panels, Sessions, Speakers?
Like with many events of this
type, most of these will not be posted until we get much closer to the
events. Please check back starting in mid-June for updates.

As I walk along the Hollywood Stars (Bing Crosby, Rin Tin Tin, Rita Hayworth) on the way to my office, I think about my life's journey and what brought me to this place in time. I've lived in Hollywood most of my life. Grew up in a family of actors and later became one myself. I've been an actor, a television and film writer, and now a Talent and Literary Agent. As my Hollywood journey continues I invite you to walk along with me. I'll look back from where I've been and up ahead. Who knows what's around the next corner...
